Intel Arc B580 and Resolve Studio

PostFri May 02, 2025 2:52 pm

I found an Intel Arc B580 at MSRP, will this card work well with Resolve Studio? I know Nvidia is the typical go-to, but the pricing is still insane and/or they're not available.

I typically edit 1080 media, but I do a lot of Fusion effects, some AI features like magic mask, speed warp, super scale, etc.

Having been using Resolve for the past 3+ years with only integrated graphics it's been very painful, so hopefully the Intel Arc B580 is my ticket out of this misery! :D

Thanks.

Well, it's already sold out. There were three in stock at a Microcenter (which can only be purchased in store) near my sister and she was going to go over the weekend to pick one up for me. I guess I'm back to waiting for something to show up again. Ugh!

Locally here Amazon.it is showing various in stock. Both OEM Intel cards and various third party cards. Asrock is the only name I recognize

https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/artic ... on-review/ says it's slightly slower than a 4060, so yes, you absolutely can use it.

Thank you! I've been checking online stores as well. The ones at Microcenter were Founders Editions for $250, the Asrock on Amazon is $400. I don't mind getting a cheap card to have something (since I have been using Resolve with no card at all), as long as I can actually get it cheap.

Thank you! I have seen Puget's benchmarks and I was curious if anyone has the card and has used it for a while in full projects. Intel cards are fairly new to the game, so it's kind of treading into uncharted territory in terms of stability or other potential problems that could arise.
