How to scale up elements without mismatching or artifacts.

PostMon May 05, 2025 7:35 pm

If I've created a construct of images (all of high resolution), how do I scale these up without 1. causing the individual elements to move around and mismatch, or 2. without pixellation if I compose them or use an adjustment layer?

Examples-

Original:
Image

Scaled up (by highlighting all elements)

Scaled up (by composing or adjusting the clip)
Image

As you can see, the only viable option, the last one, results in pixelation caused by scaling the elements down in the beginning. I assure you that the elements are of high enough quality that they can be properly scaled up.

This is a job for fusion. But if you are doing it in the edit page, avoid adjustment clips and make sure have crop without resizing setting for mismatch resolution in timeline settings so they are at original resolution and not cropped. Fusion works with original source resolution by default using media pool as source for files so that would be a place to do this.
