Issue with viewing color on Davinci Resolve

PostWed May 07, 2025 9:07 am

Hi guys, I am a new studio user.

I have a dci p3 monitor on which I use an icc profile on windows.

I edit some h264 8bit shots from my nikon z6iii and I seem to have an issue.

The colors after export are a little less saturated than when I see them in resolve.

I pull the exported video back in resolve and it shows again at the same saturation levels as before export.

I also pull the video in adobe premier and it is less saturated like when I view it with a player.

I think that davinci resolve doesn't take into account the icc profile from windows when showing the colors on the viewer and it shows them more saturated than they actually are.

I found and option in preferences>System>General called "use windows display color management and hdr for viewers" which i toggle but it doesn't seem to change anything.

Any help with that?

Thanks in advance!

I think this covers it well.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
