Fusion problem, how to draw and animate a sesimograph?

PostFri May 09, 2025 2:47 pm

Welcome.
First, I'm not strong enough in English, so please excuse any mistakes.
Second, in the Fusion page, I wanted to create something called a seismograph, a device for measuring earthquake intensity. To avoid the complexity of drawing it, I decided to draw it as follows:
A triangle at the bottom represents the tip of a writing pen. (the thing which will draw a graph or line on moving)
A circle above it represents the weight that moves with the Earth's movement. (as the old sesimographs worked)
A straight line (backgroung + rectangle) above them in space and behind it in the layer represents the string that allows the weight to move, but must be fixed from above.
When animating, I encountered a problem:
First, I created a polygon representing the resulting line (or the graph) that would represent the earthquake intensity (and then I will change its length so it would appear gradually as the pen moves). I then published it, created a merge, and changed the pivot position so it was at the tip of the pen. I then linked it to the polygon using a path.
Now, the entire pen moves according to the polygon, and there is no fixed point at the top, as if it were tied or fixed.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can do this?
Knowing that I'm a beginner at animation and am still learning, this project was suggested by a colleague of mine for us to learn from.
