Hello. Usually when I'm having a DV problem Googling is enough but for this issue the solution is getting covered up by a much more common cause that I'm not having.
My transitions won't add at all. I did some searching and the only solution I'm seeing is one for when you have two clips that are at the very end and very start of the clip and DV doesn't have footage for in between, so you have to trim down both sides of both clips and then it'll work. I've cut several minutes off the ends and starts of the videos and the transitions still won't add.
I was having this problem earlier tonight so I checked for updates and installed 19.1.4 and was still having the issue. What's happening is that I'm not able to add a transition anywhere. I get a red NO sign on my cursor or I get a tiny right arrow in a white box, I release and it doesn't show up. Furthermore, hover scrub preview isn't doing anything - I can't see the previews. Both these features were working fine before but now they've broken for some reason. I've relaunched DV multiple times and tested this issue on previous projects with no success. Although I haven't restarted my computer yet, which I don't really feel like doing unless it's the solution or might help.
I've messed with some settings and nothing is working. I'm trying to get a video out this weekend, please help.
