Custom Quick Export Doesn't Retain "Timeline Resolution."

PostMon Apr 21, 2025 12:59 pm

When creating a custom export setting, let's say H265 Main 10 80,000kbps at Timeline Resolution and Timeline Frame rate, the "Timeline Resolution" info doesn't save properly when this setting is added as a Quick Export. For example, I created the export setting and had a 3840x2160 timeline going, but I have Timeline Resolution selected in the export setting when I saved it. If I then try to use this Quick Export setting on a 1920x1080 timeline, it still tries to export at 3840x2160.

This behavior works as expected from the Delivery tab with the same custom export setting selected, but not from the Edit page using Quick Export.

I can confirm this. Weather its related to typical issue sf edit page not having access to output sizing or just oversight in the way presets are made, with a checkbox in the deliver page if I am not mistaken. I don't know. Maybe some developer can jump in and say what is the reason. But yeah, I can confirm what you reported. It retains the resolution of the moment it was created. The preset. I am not using resolve at the moment, but I think its similar to situation when exporting timelines from media pool using presets. If so, than its probably the same limitation.

The thing is, the presets work fine on the deliver page. They match the timeline resolution perfectly. Oh well. I really like exporting from the Edit page, but it’s not a big deal to jump to the Deliver page I guess.

Thank you for the reports.

This should be fixed in 20.0 beta 4.
