Davinci Resolve Beta 3 NVIDIA driver problem

PostSat May 17, 2025 9:44 am

Hi,

Just to report a few problem with the last Nvidia Studio Driver with Davinci Resolve. I update them yesterday and started to have issue in Fusion page or in the software in general. The problem is the software lags a lot, some error on refreshing the view or the view not change at all.

My current studio driver is : 576.02
I don't remember well my previous one version but I'm quite sure I was close to the 560.xx or 565.xx. I remembered said, woah 10 version.

Hope can help to stabilize it or to give me the better studio driver I can use ;)
Thank you

Matt

EDIT : More info about my problem, it's only appeared when using Davincy YRGB Color Managed, no problem if I came back to Davinci YRGB. If it can help you to found the problem, I hope can be help.

What GPU are you on? Sadly 50 series seems to still need some more time in the oven from both Nvidia and software devs.

Hi,

I'm using an RTX 4070 Super.

I found a small workaround that seems to do the trick: I set all the GPU processing settings to "Auto", and so far, no more crashes or lag.

While monitoring my system, I noticed that DaVinci Resolve keeps switching between CUDA and OpenCL. Sometimes it uses CUDA, then it shifts to the CPU, and shortly after, there's a spike in VRAM usage but CUDA isn’t being called consistently.

It seems stable with everything set to Auto, so I’m sticking with that for now.
Just wanted to share my observations from Beta 3 in case it helps improve the final release.

If setting everything to 'Auto' fixes the issue that begs the question which settings were not on 'Auto'?

Hi,

I forced CUDA as I have Nvidia card but seems to not be the greater idea ;)
