Help Replicating CapCut Workflow in DR Studio 2

PostSun May 18, 2025 1:01 am

Hi everyone,

I recently transitioned from CapCut to DaVinci Resolve Studio 20, and I love the potential here — but I’m hoping to recreate the same fast, intuitive workflow I used in CapCut. Here’s what I used to do:

Import videos, images, logo, narration, and music

Arrange video clips first, then sync to narration/audio

Add a logo (resized to 20%) to the lower-right corner and stretch across the entire video

Add fade-in/out transitions at the beginning and end

Apply a 4K/HD filter across the full video

Add transitions manually between each clip

Auto-generate captions or add manually before uploading to YouTube

Export in 4K UHD

I’ve figured most of this out in Resolve with the help of the Fairlight page and Adjustment Clips, but I’d love to hear from other users:

Do you have a faster or more optimized version of this workflow?

Are there better ways to apply a global filter/look and reuse it across multiple projects?

Any tips for reliable auto-captioning inside Resolve 20?

Appreciate any help or advice.

What's the look intended to do?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

For the look, if it is something you want to apply to everything, is the timeline color in the color page or use an adjustment layer on top of the clips
