Crazy insert logic

Dear all,

My Timeline has become crazy so I'm going nuts too
I will try to explian : Insert option is not working, when I try to insert a clip in my timeline the clip is inserted after the end of timeline. My red lecture bar is on the right place but displaced far away with the new clip. This might be something very simple but I'm stuck and of course can't edit anymore (only possible if I force an empty space and place the clip on it wich is absurd). Any ideas?

Can you take a small video of the operation you're doing with the whole gui and upload it?

The first explanation which comes to mind is that you have an in point set at the end of the timeline. Hit alt-x and try again.
