Importing Fusion comp into Resolve doesn't work

PostSat May 24, 2025 11:33 pm

Is there any specific condition that has to be met for the Fusion comp to import into Resolve Studio? I have a comp that works just fine in Fusion Studio, but I tried to import it into Resolve Studio 20 beta 4 and nothing happens.

I can confirm this. Probably a bug. They must have broken something. I've not tried to import fusion comp to resolve since trying resolve 20, But I tried last night with beta 4 and same as you. Nothing happen and it should import the content of the composition.

This also wasn't fixed in the release version. I don't know if it worked in any of the betas because I never tried importing a Fusion comp into Resolve. I just tried it because Fusion Studio beta 4 broke video output for the Decklink Mini Monitor 4K, and that is still the case in the final release version.

As previously noted by Rohit Gupta:

"beta4 was our release candidate, just cosmetic changes since then."

However I have tried to Import a Fusion Comp into an existing Fusion Comp in Resolve and it seemed to work OK (Win 11/Nvidia setup as noted in Signature).

However since it is Fusion, the backup is always that you can copy (Cntl C) and paste (Cntl V) all the nodes from Fusion Studio directly into a blank Comp in Resolve.
