Blackmagic resolve license keys

PostSun May 11, 2025 12:05 am

OK, I've been a long-time user of the programs. I used to have a USB key. This year/last year, I picked a new software-locked version. OK, so I had a few problems and had to reinstall it on the same computer, and it now says I have no keys left. Where do I go to manage my available keys and or email to get everything reset.
Thank you

It is a good idea to Deactivate a license when you know it will no longer be used, but...when you Activate a third time, it will clear the two already used.

Does that help?

If not, can you post a screen shot of the error message?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I have re-installed windows multiple times and reused the same key. It does give you a popup about more than 2 activations. But it has never been a problem, it just de-activates the oldest one and goes on.

Are you saying your key is refusing to work for the third install?

I think my problem is all keys are on the same PC. So, for it to say no incense is available makes no sense. I take it there is no dashboard for me to manage this.

You can re-install resolve on the same machine and not consume a key.

if you wipe windows and re-install, yes resolve will think it is a different machine and consume a key.

But you are not limited to 2 for your entire life. You are limited to 2 at once. Resolve will invalidate the oldest install and let you install again.

If this isn't working, email/call BM and they may need to sort out something on their server. But I have never had any problems, I have installed resolve on 2 different machines and wiped windows annually, zero problems.
