Yep, I am aware of that.Robert Niessner wrote:Sean, I'd like to remind you, that for example you have been one of the strongest proponent of having VST side chaining support in Fairlight for years- and finally BMD did implement that with DVR 19.

I had actually stopped mentioning VST sidechaining before they added it. I figured I should focus on my other problems that were much higher priorities to me, because I had a nice workaround for sidechaining... which was exporting the audio at the end of the editing and importing into Reaper. Previously I tried using Reaper for audio editing as well, but that was too much of a pain because Reaper doesn't support AAF or OMF (one of the very, very few complaints I have about Reaper). So I gave up on trying to do all of the audio editing/mixing this way... however, waiting until the end of the edit and then exporting the full audio tracks for sidechaining in Reaper is only a minor inconvenience. And as it turns out, Reaper works better for this anyways. For example, when using Soothe2 to sidechain in Resolve there is a very noticeable delay between the sidechain signal and the original. Setting up the same tracks and configuration in Reaper, AISO drivers with the same buffer size on my Audient interface, etc. there is absolutely no delay at all. It is perfectly in sync.
I have far bigger problems with Resolve and unfortunately, I do not have any alternatives to any of these problems except to stop using Resolve, which is what I'm looking at doing now.
