Combining timelines

PostSun Jun 01, 2025 8:06 am

Hi,

This must be quite basic but I just can't get it right. I simply want to combine a small number of timelines into a single 'composite' timeline for final edit.

I can do this but the 'sub' timelines appear each as a single clip so are not really editable.

How do I get the 'sub' timelines in editable (clip) form on the composite (final) timeline?
Many thanks for any help.
Terry.

Right click - Decompose in place?

You can also Copy/Paste the contents of the sub-timelines into the Master.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Hi,
Thanks for the comments.
I think I have solved the problem by ticking edit/decompose compound clips on edit.

That seems to do it - any further comments/
Thanks,
Terry
