Sound Library Organisation

PostMon Jun 02, 2025 6:48 am

I installed my own sound library plus other third party ones in addition to the Fairlight sound library. On my sound library dropdown below the search bar it shows each library separately. This is inconvenient when seeking an effect, so I wish to integrate my sublibraries so there will only be two places to search.

What is the best way to do this? Am I safe to drag my own libraries into one of the folders, using Finder, and then rescan the effects? Or will this screw up the database? Your input will be greatly appreciated.

The Fairlight Sound Library creates its own entity and will be separate from user created databases.

Move source media to the preferred path in Finder and rescan on the preferred database.

Drop the databases that are no longer required.
