Split screen: custom tile layout as template?

Hi all.
The first step in "how do I ..." is getting the right language/terms, especially when there is a clear vision of the required outcome.

I've just "discovered" tiles and asigning clips to tile regions, grids to create multiple tiles, et al.

However ...
... the output design I'm chasing is a look of two horizontal tiles next to a vertical (with a border). And related: flip the tile layout vertically (a vertical then two horizontal).

I know I can use, to get this specific layout, zoom + position + cropping directly on each clip ... but geez that seems like hard work ...

... what should I research into to find out more, including how to save it as a template?
