Transcription Subtitles Timing is Off

I just started trying out Da Vinci Resolve studio. I got a clip transcribed and the transcription is pretty good.

But when I create subtitles, the subtitles are noticeably misaligned to the actual audio of the speech. It's not consistent—one word will be on the screen a little bit too long, another will disappear a little too early. (I haven't made any edits—this is straight out of the gate.)

I'm attaching a screenshot that clearly shows the issue:

I'm coming from Premiere Pro where the caption feature always gets the captions placed dead perfect in reference to the original audio.

What's going on?
