Hi,
I've got a bunch of 3min headshot interviews with a dull background, which I want to blur a little so using the MagicMask for the subject, then the Defocus Background effect for the background. It works really well on the source clips, but I run into problems with multicam clips.
They're two-cam multicam clips and applying the process to one of the angles in the 'open in timeline' view of the multicam clip doesn't work; when I go back to the main timeline the defocus is applied on the whole frame, not just the mask/background. Same thing happens if I use the blur tool or the Lens Blur effect.
If I finish the edit, then flatten the multicam edit I can apply the process to each shot that needs it, but is there a way to do it on the original multicam clip (i.e. one angle of the multicam) rather than each individual edit once flattened? Ideally I want to apply the effect on the whole clip, wait for it to track the mask, then edit as I need to.
Thanks.
