No Subtitles in Compound Clips

PostWed Mar 27, 2024 6:57 pm

Hi all,

I'm trying to create compound clips from a timeline with subtitles in DaVinci Resolve Studio V 18.6.6. V1, A1, and ST1 are all turned on in the timeline, but when I go to create a compound clip from the timeline, the subtitles do not appear in the compound clip.

Please help! I'm editing a foreign language video and need to be able to work with compound clips!

Thanks in advance!

I'm on DVR v20. Attempting the same and subtitle track doesn't get combined in the compound clip. Any help please?

You can create timeline subclips by putting a timeline in the source viewer, setting In/Out and dragging it into the media pool.

Davinci Resolve Studio 20.0.1 Build 6
Windows 10 Pro 22H2
Davinci Resolve Studio 19.1.4 Build 11
Linux Ubuntu Studio 24.04 (Rocky 8.6 Container)

If you can work with text instead of a surtitle track you could use a plug in ike Snap Captions
DaVinci Resolve Studio 20
MacBook Pro M1 (2020) | 16GB ram | 1TB SSD
macOS Squoia 15.5

Render timeline 1 and put resulting file in timeline 2.

Or just build the timeline differently
