v20 Thumbnails on Color page oversaturated and contrasty

PostMon Jun 02, 2025 5:41 pm

This is new since I upgraded from 19. The same thing happens on another machine using Sonoma. The thumbnails do not represent the grade of my grading monitor like they used to. It's almost like they're in a different color space—super contrasty and lots of chroma. I'm using DaVinci's automatic color management setting. I tried other color science methods, and every time, the thumbnails were way off.

TIA for your help. I hope it's not a bug, and it's something simple.

Second this.. as soon as I updated to both 20 (from beta), and my mac os (to Sequoia), I noticed my thumbnails do not reflect what I am seeing in the viewer like they used to. I made sure to update all my thumbnails, which can fall out of sync easily when using lots of AI masks which also loose their track with the slightest change, then the thumbnail needs to be updated, but in general I completely agree with the OP on this issue, it's clearly a problem.

The project I'm working on is not yet released so I can't show screen grabs, but the ones OP shows are similar to what I have been seeing.

Thanks for posting this issue to make the team aware, not unexpected given the tons of cool new features in the latest release cheers.
