Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing a persistent and disruptive audio rendering/playback bug that started after updating to DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.2.1 and continues in 20.2.2.
1. The Issue
When I attempt to Deliver a long project (approx. 30 minutes), the final output file is missing the audio from Track A1 and Track A3.
2. Post-Render Playback Failure (Critical Detail)
After the render attempt is complete, if I switch back to the Edit or Cut page, I can no longer hear the audio on Track A1 and Track A3.
The only way to restore playback of these two tracks within the project is to close and fully re-open DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Crucial Precursor: Before the render issue worsened, I was already experiencing a less severe form of this bug, requiring me to close and reopen Resolve every hour or so. This typically occurred during an intensive session of scrubbing back and forth through the clips, suggesting a potential issue with audio buffer/cache management.
3. Key Observations (Diagnosis Clues)
4. System & Render Specs
To provide all necessary details, here are my technical and render specifications:
Has anyone else encountered this specific loss of audio tracks (both in render and subsequent playback) on longer timelines after the recent 20.2.x updates?
Thank you for your help!
Alessandro

3. Key Observations (Diagnosis Clues)
- Version: DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.2.2 (Issue started in 20.2.1).
- Timeline Length: Approx. 30 minutes.
- Workaround: If I deliver a small segment of the timeline (e.g., 1 minute, selected by In and Out points), instead of the full project, all audio tracks are rendered correctly and the post-render playback failure does not occur.
- Audio Setup: Exporting Bus 1 (Stereo), which should contain all timeline audio.
4. System & Render Specs
To provide all necessary details, here are my technical and render specifications:
