Hey!
I jump shipped from Premiere and I thought I'd give DaVinci Resolve 15 a go as my editor.
I'm working on a short social media campaign for a product launch of a startup -- nothing too intensive. I'm editing on 13" MacBook Pro i5 2012.
At the end of the video, I put the logo of the company, a PNG file. I wanted to do a simple animation where the image moves up and the business' slogan appear under it a few seconds later.
The problem I'm encountering:
- I make two keyframes for the image for the beginning and end of the animation. (Transform > Position)
- I adjust the Y-axis with the slider on my mouse for the second/end keyframe. (Y=100)
- While, the logo does move for a second when I'm holding the value down with my mouse, the moment I let go of my click, the logo returns to the centre.
- The value for the Y-value stays at 100, or whatever number it's been set at despite the logo having not moved.
- When I change over to the "Deliver" tab, the image is still in the centre despite the y-value.
I'm happy to send you a recording if it helps at all! I'm not sure if this has been posted before so sorry if I'm just filling up the board with superfluous posts.
If anyone knows another way to do it, that'd be great too. I just started using DaVinci Resolve without reading the manual or watching any run downs of the software, and just trusting my judgement after years of using Premiere and Final Cut.
