PostSun Apr 15, 2018 3:27 pm

Hi all,
I think that Fusion icon must be swapped with the Color one.

But isn't color grading applied after FX, not before? (At least assuming you don't create a fusion clip which would apply the current grade.) In which case the current order (Edit, Fusion, Color) is sensible.

I think the way it is now makes the most sense. The tabs flow in the same order as the actual work.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

The manual update explains that the page order reflects the processing order (on page 2-54).

Sometimes you want to put the color first. Even for editing to get a feeling of what will be the final product. Compositing with some level of color might be helpful too. Of course, if its on the top of things, preserving all data, as it would be inside Resolve. So I think it might be a user choice thing although you already can go back and forth and dont need to follow the order of the tabs. Its just that Fusion doesnt output changes made in the Color tab (yet). That button to turn on and off Color should be there too. I think it might come in the next beta iterations of Resolve.
