Audio overdubs, other bugs

PostMon Apr 16, 2018 7:11 pm

Fairlight:
A few oddities when recording voice-over [Input mic selection and input metering works fine]:

Record path defaults to the 'capture' folder but can be re-set to a custom path under the project prefs.
However, mostly will not record files to the custom location & instead reverts to the default; only 'sometimes' will record to the custom path.

Recording onto a new audio track sometimes works; often will not: will show the audio waveform being recorded but when recording finishes, the waveform disappears & leaves a blank clip.

Sometimes after having made an overdub recording, Resolve will lose all sound and needs to be re-booted.

Like other DAWs, would be useful to be able to rearrange track order via drag video & audio tracks up & down in the timeline, rather than the tedious 'move track up', 'move track down'.

Deliver:
Some of the old 14b bugs seem to have reappeared, eg: cannot select 'Entire Timeline', only In-Out points; the In point cannot be re-set; the Out point will not set to the very end. Sometimes the functionality comes back but only after having done a render.

MCU control surface:
Is very patchy and many functions still do not work. In the Fairlight page, while faders, stop & start work, other functions like zoom, locate etc do not work.
In the Edit page, only the faders work; no transport, locate etc.

Just tried using my MCU (original midi version) and it works in the limited respect as well. It would be nice if you could add the MCU extenders as well for the additional faders.
