Write to MOV H.264 on Linux, in 14.3 Studio?

PostMon Apr 30, 2018 5:25 pm

I'm trying to figure out why I can't see an option to render to H.264 wrapped in MOV on Linux.

I'm running 14.3 Studio.

The only documentation for supported codecs listed on the site seems to be for the 15 beta--and it says that Linux can indeed write to H.264 MOV. It looks like the document for 14 was removed.

Has the ability to render to H.264 in MOV changed from 14.3 to 15, or do I need to install additional components?

H.264 rendering on Linux is not available in Resolve 14.

And based on the Resolve 15 supported codecs list, it's not available in Resolve 15 Linux either.

Then you have a misprint in the very middle of p. 7.

It lists “Yes” for encode and decode on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
