We de a lot of dual system audio workflows and do syncing based on Time Code, Waveform and sometimes manually. But when audio and video is linked, Resolve completly ignores filename, total duration and timecode from the audio file.
Once you export a project to Pro Tools with an AAF-file there is no way for the Sound Department to get the right filenames and time code to find corresponding Audio-files, all they have is the video file names which for the most part is irrelevant. When thinking about it this may also be an issue in Fairlight, as you have to do "Find the in Media Pool" then "Reveal synced Audio in Media Pool" to find the correct audio-file. In Fairlight the "Reveal synced Audio in Media Pool" should maybe be available from the timeline Context menu. The possibility to display the synced audio names in the timeline and not only the linked video-filename would also be nice.
