Media Offline?!? How?

PostMon Apr 30, 2018 11:13 pm

I recorded a series of lectures where speakers have a slide show alongside them. I add the slides, manually, as the speakers give their speech. So far all the slides/presentations have been added except for one lecture. The images started off as a PDF, but I first broke them down as jpg's (which did not work) and then png's, but for whatever reason, I keep getting the message, "media offline". The folder is there on my hard drive. The other presentations are edited with images okay, except for this one. I moved the folder around, I checked permissions and everything is *supposed* to be fine. Other video editors can see the files, but Resolve keeps saying, "Media Offline". I re-linked the files...am not sure what else to do...

Go to the Media Page, highlight all the clips shown, and relink them manually. It should just work.

Hey Marc,

Thanks for the suggestion, but it did not work.

Here is my theory; I used a bunch of free pdf to jpg/png converters from on line where you upload a PDF to a site (i.e https://www.freepdfconvert.com/pdf-jpg ) and it spits out the files. I think those sites insert some kind of DRM where Resolve cannot use it any longer. Luckily, I also happen to have a Linux box close by and I converted the pdf's into files and those DID WORK. *phew*
