Power Windows - wacom sensitivity

PostFri May 04, 2018 5:21 pm

I've noticed my main issue with R15 B2 is that when I try to move an anchor on a bezier window, unless I click perfectly on it it will add a new anchor and move that instead. Seems ok with a mouse but previous versions didn't feel quite like this. Also hitting undo after moving that new anchor point has unexpected results, sometimes undoing several steps or just moving the window slightly.

I haven't noticed this specific issue. I'm a heavy Wacom user and hate to say that the tablet support is not the best in Resolve.

One problem is purely UX related. Inspector numerical boxes are too close to the right edge of the screen and as soon as you start dragging a value to the right you run out of the tablet.

The other problem is that the response of the dials and the numerical boxes is not very good. Scaling is such that the user intent is often misinterpreted. It's very difficult to dial values in the numerical boxes dragging up/down. It's as if the XY input of the tablet needs to be sampled with less frequency.

This has been the problem prior to v15. Fusion's response to tablet input has been good, but now in V15 Fusion is using the Resolve's inspector UI elements and the problems carry over to Fusion.
