Copy/Paste error in timeline

I have been editing a project in Davinci Resolve 14. Suddenly I have a copy/paste error. When I copy a clip and attempt to paste it at the play head, it instead pasted at the beginning or end of the entire project. Has this happened to anyone else?

It has occured to me too. Several times. Quite frustrating.

Here too. It's pasted at the beginning of the timeline in my case.
I have seen the same behaviour inserting from the monitor.
I'm on Linux, by the way.

Clear any in/out selections (alt-x) in the timeline before pasting.
