Long timelines - slows down machine

PostTue May 08, 2018 7:45 am

I have some recordings in 4K Prores 422HQ 50P, which plays nicely and without problems.
But when I'm as bringing the clips down in an timeline, it begins to chop up.
If I make a match frame, the clip plays well smooth.
No changes has been made to the clip - just doing this to collect the recordings in a series of seq.
The problem arises clearly at timelines over 30 minutes.
Have tried using optimized media - prores proxy - same resolved.
also half and quad resolution and much more - same result.
Mac with raid via thunderbolt
Timeline is a 1920x1080 P50

Does anyone have an idea of what this it caused by?

Regards
Thomas
