Feature Request: Edit tab

PostTue May 08, 2018 4:45 am

Three requests.

1) Set multiple hot keys to one function.
example: Mark in can be both 'i' and 'q'.
this is common in Avid and Premiere.

2) when typing in an amount of frames to move the play head, example "+100", hitting enter once will move the play head by that amount of frames. Hitting enter again should move the play head by the same amount of frames until a new frame amount is entered.
This is a feature in Avid that I really liked.

3) Currently the time line readout is at the top. I think it would be handy to be able to enable having a timeline at the top, bottom, and also in the middle between the video and audio tracks.
It would be handy if each timeline bar could list different data, such as frames.

having the TC displays at the bottom of the window would be a good plus.

having the font another couple pixels larger would be even better. text is rather small on 4K displays.... which takes me back 20 years when my first adobe FR was to make the TC font in the edit window 2X larger. I was know as the bigger font guy for a while. eventually it got implemented. funny some things never change :D

Yeah Steve,
I don't use a 4k display for that exact reason. there are a ton of apps that the font doesn't scale right and I can barely make out the text.

I have gone through a lot of displays at this point. I think when everyone works out the scaling for 4k UI design a 42" monitor will be the sweet spot for editing UI monitors. but until then I am on 2 27" monitors.
