RED Color Issue

PostMon May 28, 2018 4:32 pm

Hello,

I am currently working with R3D footage for a short film. I have the RED set to decode in the project as Quarter Res Good, with Version 2 RedWideGamutRGB, Log 3G10. When I go to color, however, it appears that the IPP2 LUTS are applied to the entire project. I'm not sure what I am missing here, as when I switch the clip to Clip mode in the color page, nothing really changes. How can I get it to view log again?

Also, when I apply a LUT in a node, it appears as though the LUT was applied twice, and everything seems to be doubled intensity.

Thanks,
Jack

Sorry if it’s an obvious comment but where did you apply your LUT?

- in a “clip” node?
- in a “timeline” node?
- in the Colour management, in the output field?

It sounds to me like you have done two of those three mentioned above.

If your LUT is on a clip or timeline node, “bypass all grades” should show the LOG image.
