15b4 Relentless Fusion Paint and Tracker Problems

PostThu May 31, 2018 4:09 pm

For 45 mins yesterday and 30 mins today Ive been trying to simply paint out a small defect in the frame and track the paint job to the shot. When using the tracker Resolve often hangs perpetually to the point I have to force quit after about 2+ minutes. When loading the fusion page back up my paint strokes are gone. The Inspector says "no object selectable" and when I try to use the select to to re-select the paint strokes in the viewer, nothing is selected. So the paint job I did is completely gone and I have to start all over again. What should be a 2 minute job has become literally impossible, because the tracker hangs or I lose my paint job or both. I finally had to give up and move on to other things because the job wasnt getting done and I was losing lots of time. Below is a link to the diagnostic logs.

If you select your paint-node after starting Resolve-Fusion again, the tool has no selectable object. The paint strokes are now in "Modifiers" (Button on top of the inspector).
Be sure to use "Always run fusion on CPU" in Preferences/Configuration.
And: No kidding, yesterday I tracked a clip, the tracker hang and I thought "Oh f..., crashed..." After 2 minutes waiting I realized, that the tracker stopped because of IDontKnow. I simply had to start it again.
Be sure, that you close all program while using resolve. If there are other programs using the GPU (as firefox browser), it can lead to a fusion crash.
