Awesome company that Blackmagic Design is, how utterly stunned I am this A.M. to discover upon finally deciding on a desktop host computer, and opening Decklink Studio 4K's anti-static bag, our freshly opened, S/N registered, Decklink Studio 4K's heat dissipation fan is hanging off its pristine circuit board by only 1 of its 2 brass mounting posts.
What's more, the modest amount of thermal paste used in manufacture is compromised.
This Davinci Resolve 14.3/Decklink Studio 4K/Hyperdeck Mini 4K hardware expansion project has come to a grinding halt -- despite desiring it to be working this weekend.
But it gets worse: Dealer, as of yesterday was scheduled to be out of the country for travel.
I pray there's hope for deliverance out of trouble, but to vw forthright, the China plant needs to employ hot-glue in securing some vulnerable board-mounted parts IMHO.
