Cannot Change Mode While Playhead is Moving

PostTue Jun 05, 2018 7:20 am

Very minor... Not sure if this by design, but I find that it is not possible to say switch from Media to Edit mode, if a clip is running. One must first stop the playhead moving and then one can switch. Unless there is some usability advantage, it would be good if the player just stopped when switching modes. I know it doesn't sound like much, 'two' mouse clicks instead of 'one', but It just seems an unnecessary step ;)

I agree, it's annoying.

I guess the different modes are setup to use less resources and tuned for the tasks they are doing. For instance in Fairlight the video takes 2nd place over audio. If this is the case then it would be good to be able to switch Modes and DR could pause play and then start again when ready.
Thank you
