Running R14.3 Studio on Win 10 ver 1709. It seems that after the windows update I started getting this sticky playback issue. Clip will play for 2 seconds then stop for 10 frames or so, then continue. Sometimes it does it on playout using the UltraStudio 4K extreme but just about every time in the GUI.
Now I am getting poor playback with clips that have been rendered to cache. Codec is Avid DNxHR HQX at 1080. Project is 23.976 fps. In the GUI, when the playback stops, I see the playback speed say 24fps or above. Both timeline and video monitoring set to 23.976 fps.
Seems to be getting worse. Now with blue bars in the timeline I am not getting realtime playback on stills that have been rendered to cache or clips with noise reduction nodes that have been cached either.
Checked my RAID read speed and getting 950Megs sec. read. More than enough for HD 1080. HP z820 24 cores, nVidia 1080ti, 128 gigs RAM Thunderbolt RAID and UltraStudio 4K Extreme.
Not sure I want to try R15 Beta during this current large job.
