Workflow for 1 Project across 2 Workstations?

PostTue Jun 26, 2018 9:10 am

Hey everyone,

New resolve 15 user here! I can’t seem to figure out how to work on 1 project between 2 systems (work & home). I’ve generated optimized media on both systems (separately and individually) but when I bring a .DRP to the other workstation and import it (which creates a new "Copy of..." project) - it says I no longer have any Optimized media.

I tried the Archiving function but that took far too long and tried to make a copy of all my media all over again - which isn't needed. So...what am I doing wrong?

Optimized media are not copied. You have two possibilities:

Create an offline version by transcoding all your clips to the same format you'd use for optimized media and bring them over to the other machine.

Or:

Get the Studio version and set up a network server with fast connections.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
