auto adaptation clips

PostFri Jul 06, 2018 10:53 am

Hi all,
I'm not yet a super Resolve expert because I always worked on Premiere Pro.
I mostly do 3d animations editing made of frame sequences.
Before the final render I do the wireframe shading previews (jpg sequences) and I edit them on the timeline.
Let's say my first sequences (shot) has 1000 frames, the second one 700, the third one 500.
I edit the 3 sequences on Premiere Pro.
The final version of the entire animation will have 800 frames for the first sequence (because I edited it in the 3d program), the second one 300, the third one 550.
In the jpg sequences folders I replace the old wireframe frames version with the final renders.
In Premiere Pro I notice I can extend or reduce my clips. In case my clip has fewer frames that the original edited before I cand extend (stretch the right handle) it and it will get the correct duration (before was 1000 frames, the final version 800 frames).
In case the final clip will be longer (before was 500 frames, the final version 550) in Premiere Pro I can extend the clip and automatically it will updated with new duration.

Is it possible to add this feature in Resolve? At the moment the updated clips don't recognize if more frames are added or deleted.
