Problem with Mocha Pro OFX plugin

PostTue May 01, 2018 3:06 pm

Hi,

Could not find anything about known problems with Mocha Pro in the forum...

Loading a project created in version 14 results in a strange behaviour in Mocha Pro. It looks like Resolve feeds the wrong video into the OFX plug-in. Simple steps to reproduce:
  • Apply Mocha Pro to a clip
  • "Launch Mocha UI"
  • Track a region
  • Save & quit Mocha
  • Select "Apply Matte"
  • "Launch Mocha UI"
  • Mocha now displays the video with matte appied instead of the original version
I do not have Resolve 14 installed (overwritten by version 15) so I could not compare the behaviour but I tried the same with Vegas Pro and it works as expected (Mocha always displays the original footage). I'm quite sure that this is the also the cause of the problem when opening the old project (not using the matte but the "insert" module) in version 15.

Versions: Windows 10, Resolve 15.0.0B.037, Mocha Pro 5.6.0

Jens

From memory: Mocha Pro is certified with Fusion, not Davinci Resolve.

Still not working in beta 4 :( And Mocha does not appear in the list of tools on the Fusion page - so this does not seems to be a possible workaround...

Not working in beta 6 either. It seems okay using the Fusion page - but this causes DR to hang. I'll try to narrow that down...

The Pixel Chooser version inside BCC OFX works well here in beta6.
