BMD eGPU on MBP2017 disables internal Graphic Card

PostSun Jul 15, 2018 1:16 pm

Hi folks,

I have just installed the new BMD eGPU on my MacBook Pro 2017 with 4GB Radeon card included.
After I have attached my external C4K-Display on the eGPU it has been detected from OSX and DR.
But...

Since that my internal dedicated graphic card is no longer detected from OSX and DR.
(The Intel onboard stuff is still detected in addition to the eGPU from OSX)
Actually I would love to use both dedicated cards at the same time.
Am I totally wrong?

Best regards,
Chris

What is the exact OS version you are using?

Chris, are you using Resolve or Resolve Studio? The current Resolve Studio allows you to use multiple GPUs whereas the free Resolve will
Only use one GPU.

Chris's problem is different. His built-in AMD GPU disappears from actual OSX system at all once eGPU is connected.
