What's the LUT workflow when editing?

PostWed Jul 18, 2018 1:21 am

I'm editing a project that is all Arri Log-C so it's got the flat wash. It's early in the process so there isn't any pre-grade or anything like that yet. I'd just like to view all of my footage with the proper Rec 709 LUT so it's got the right contrast. I've been searching around for a while but can't seem to find a clear explanation.

What's the right way to set that up?

in the settings, color, you can load the standard arri lut (provided) as [output lut], that should suffice.

Cool. That goes part of the way.

Is there anyway to set a LUT so the clips in the Source Viewer also receive the LUT, for when pulling selects and the media isn't yet in a timeline?

Ah ok!

Maybe that's the way.

Sorry, coming to Resolve as an Editor, not a colorist so the LUT thing and how it's handled here is above my head still
