I've spent most of this day trying different combinations of steps to isolate the precise sequence of steps that causes this bug. Here's a summary and hopefully others can reproduce it so that it can be fixed soon because it's a major bug that totally blocks any animated poly/spline masking functionality.
* Create a fusion clip from any Resolve timeline.
* In the Fusion page, add a merge and two media nodes.
* On the foreground node, add a poly/spline mask.
* Animate it with some keyframes.
* Scrub through the timeline.
* Watch the poly/spline animate as expected, but notice that the animated mask doesn't actually get applied.
* Render the comp and confirm that the animated mask doesn't get applied in the rendered version, either.
This is the weirdest part: Adjust any keyframe OR any Inspector parameter, then suddenly the mask gets applied. But then scrub through the timeline again and notice the mask doesn't update with the mask animation, even though the mask's poly/spline node dimensions change as expected. In other words, the poly/spline outlines move with the animation, but the mask doesn't actually get applied to the underlying node.
Things I've tried already many times:
Clearing all caches.
Restarting the program.
Toggling Performance Mode on/off.
Creating new timelines.
Creating new projects.
Explicitly creating fusion clips from the Resolve timeline vs. jumping straight into the Fusion page from the timeline range of a non-Fusion clip. (Makes no difference.)
Note: The animated masking works fine on the first MediaIn node, but then after adding a merge and connected media nodes, the masking stops working on subsequent media nodes.
At this point, it's impossible to produce anything that requires animated masking in the Fusion page. I've never had this problem in the stand-alone version of Fusion, in which I've created many other comps with animated masks.
Thank you in advance for your help.
