I have a 2018 MacBook Pro with maximum configuration, and Resolve version 15.0.0B.057. I have a timeline with many clips in it. Most of them render to the cache in Smart Render Cache mode. But there are three of them that won't render to the cache. I look at my GPU usage using XRG and it shows that the GPU is stuck at 99% and stays there. Playing through the clips does not help render them into the Cache.
Then there is another odd thing: when I disable those clips in the timeline, the GPU usage drops to 65%. I would expect to see this drop to nearly 0%. When I quit Resolve, the GPU usage drops to 3%.
Quitting and re-opening Resolve, I now see that the GPU is pegged at 99% even though those three clips are disabled.
Details of the three clips: One has a Fusion overlay where a line is drawn using Mask Paint, and the other two are simply clips with fairly complex grading. But there are other clips with much more complex grading that are rendering to the cache without problems.
If helpful, I can upload the project, and associated clips that are problematic to a Dropbox folder.
