Hi everyone,

Just downloaded Resolve 15 for the first time to attempt to learn how to do some amateur video editing. My ASUS laptop is getting on in age, specs are:

Asus model: N61Jq
OS: Windows 10 Home x64
Intel i7 Q740 1.73GHz quad core
8GB ram
video card: ATI Radeon HD 5730 1GB

I have a feeling the answer to my question is likely pretty obvious but I get an error (attached) when I try to fire up the program. It installed fine but it won't run. You can see the two error messages I get in the photo I've attached.

I'm guessing my laptop is too much of a dinosaur to run this program and that the only fix is some new equipment. Anyone know if that's what it is or is there some other fix to this problem?

thanks in advance for any help!

You are correct. The GPU is 7+ years old technolgy and OpenCL v1.2 only.
Consider a computer and components from 2016 or newer.
There is a configuration guide in the center column of this page.

Ya, I had a feeling that was the problem. I'll check out the link you posted for sure.

Thanks so much for answering my question. Much appreciated! :)
