Application Resolution on Microsoft Surface with 15.7

PostMon Aug 06, 2018 10:15 pm

I am testing 15.7 on a Microsoft Surface Pro 4. I notice that the app is very challenging to use because of the tiny fonts. I have attached 2 images. One is the app alone in full screen. The second is the app with Adobe Photoshop for a comparison of the font sizes.

The SP4 is considered a "High DPI" display. 2736 x 1824 (267 PPI)

I have tested a workaround briefly by right clicking Resolve.exe and then under "Compatibility" click "Change high DPI settings". In the next dialog check "Override high DPI..." and change it to "System (Enhanced)".

The results appear "normal". I'll be doing some more editing and testing tomorrow and will report back if there are other scaling issues.

Here is the developer doc from Microsoft about how to handle High DPI: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... on-windows
