Resolve doesn't start / fails to detect GPU

Hi

I'm trying to install Resolve 15b7 on Windows 10. The welcome dialog starts up. When I run the quick setup the GPU (nvidia 1080GTX) isn't detected properly and this error message appears:



Resolve never actually starts up. Keeps hanging in the Task Manager but that's as far as it'll ever go on this machine.

Ran `CaptureLogs.bat` and attached the resulting file.

Just updated the nvidia drivers to 398.82 just to make sure that it's not just an old driver issue.

Got the same issue trying to install version 14. So it's probably not really a beta issue.

Eventually solved it by completely re-installing the OS. Still curious if there's a good reason for why it didn't work to avoid a similar breakdown in the future.
