Question on Deck-Links and Resolve

Hi Everybody I have a Eizo UHD Grading Monitor and I'm currently using Resolve for editing. I'm looking to get a Deck link in order to start using a two monitor set-up. (a standard rec709 monitor for all the editing info and the UHD Eizo to view it Fullscreen for accurate color grading)

I've been reading that getting a Deck Link can be necccarsary in order to accurately grade colors as well as see the maximum amount of detail.

I'm looking to grade Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K Raw footage with my set up. Can anybody tell me whatDeck-Links to buy in order for me to view and grade the footage to its fullest. I'm not looking to capture or record any footage using the Decklink.

It's not necessarily about resolution, but about color fidelity. Only a proper I/O-device from BM, the cheapest one will suffice, circumvents the display profiles inserted by the OS.

I have an iMac with a 5K screen, so I can check small detail any time, but I monitor grading through a cheap UltraStudio Mini Monitor in HD. Of course, if your clients demand it, you may need to go higher for the client monitor.

I'm a little confused about the specifications of Deck-Links while reading them on B&H. Can you recommend one to buy for editing 4.6K raw footage?



In Order to edit the 12 bit Raw files form the Ursa Mini Pro, would I need need to buy a deck link like this?

I'm a little confused about the specifications of Deck-Links while reading them on B&H. Can you recommend one to buy for editing 4.6K raw footage?

For editing you do not need full resolution, you could even edit in HD, for color grading you would use the target resolution, which is very likely not 4.6K, but 4k, UHD or lover resolutions.
