when pressing spacebar it plays a timeline but when pressing it again it stops not at place I want

disable the "Stop and Go To Last Position" option under the Playback menu
(available only on the Media, Edit and Fairlght pages).

You can also right click the Stop button on the Transport and disengage the "Stop and Go To Last Position" option there.
