I created a new project and imported video shot at 60 fps to begin. I also imported video from a different shoot/camera that was 24 fps. I decided, unfortunately after all of my color grading and editing, that I wanted to break this up to two projects instead. I deleted all of the 60 fps sequences from the timeline leaving only the 24 fps stuff. I've since learned, I'm pretty new to DaVinci, that now I'm locked into 60 fps output since it was placed first. Not a huge deal, but is there a way I can take all of my graded, edited 24 fps footage and copy into a new project that will allow me to export as 24 fps?

Thank you again, but I (think) I did all that you suggested and it's still only allowing me to export at 60fps even after deleting all 60fps clips from the media pool and timeline before "Saving As".
1) delete all clips in the media pool. Then delete all timelines. 2) go into project preferences and change project and playback frame rate to 24fps. Save preferences. 3) hit ctrl-z (undo) repeatedly, until you have timelines and media clips restored. 4) now see if what you have is workable.

Thank you. I tried this, and the video played back real choppy and sloooooowwwww and the audio was as well. I changed the speed of all clips to 60fps and the video was 'better' but the audio is still off. I was able to select 24fps in the Deliver window, however, but the quality was not worth exporting.

Thank you. I tried this, but because I have some clips sped up and slowed down using Retime Curves it forced me to set all clips to a constant rate.

Your clips will have to been shot at 24fps if you expect this to work. If they're actually 60fps, I don't know what you're trying to do.

I have two bins of clips: one group shot at 24fps, the other at 60fps. I placed a 60fps clip on the timeline when I started the project, and apparently that sets an uneditable fps for the entire project. I realized this when I attempted to export the project fps at 24 even after deleting all 60fps media from the pool and the timeline. There are no 60fps clips on the timeline or in the media pool; only 24fps clips. Apparently, since I dropped a 60fps clip on the timeline at the onset, the project and its export settings are locked at 60. I want to export at 24 without having to start a new project and re-grade and re-edit from scratch because I have too many hours into it at this point to reinvent the wheel.
If the project only contains 24fps clips and you succeeded in changing the project frame rate to 24fps, you should see smooth real-time playback -- unless there's something wrong with the clips, you introduced speed changes to them or your playback and monitoring rates are wrong. Go back to project preferences and make sure everything is set to 24fps and that monitoring and clip resolution match.
As a test, you might want to create a new project, import a few of those 24fps clips, and see what playback looks like. If *that* doesn't work, there's something wrong with your project setup or the computer is isn't capable of real-time playback..

Thanks, John. I'll check out my settings. Computer's definitely up to snuff regarding playback. I had it custom built just for video editing; specifically real time playback at 4k. I appreciate the suggestions!
if i understand it right, he is trying to import a timeline with the wrong fps (60) in a new Project with the right fps (24) and want to keep the grading of the timeline. the media files are native in 24fps. such a scenario is possible in premiere. but there you can have mixed fsp timelines in one project.
