I did not have any of these issues with the betas. Clips I shoot in RAW on the BMPC4K play fine with no issue, dropped frames, etc. I have even stepped through every frame of the video and it is fine. But as soon as I drag them onto the timeline with the same settings I have been using for years, all of a sudden it is having issues everywhere. Frames are being trashed halfway through the frame, doubled or tripled so the playback skips. Here are two images showing how it is missing half a frame. This was me testing it on a second computer from a separate set of backed up footage on a completely different hard drive. Keep in mind this was just me replicating the same things I did quickly and badly in fusion and the edit tab, etc that I did the night before on my Mac trashcan. Frame before screwed up frame

the next frame is missing halfway up for no reason

Here are the frames in that same area when I stepped through that exact area on the original dog's baked up from the SSD. I could't tell exactly what fame it is that is skewed on the timeline but it is one of these that are just fine. Also the frame was skewed just putting it on the timeline before I did anything

Also here are the specs for my Mac Pro. On a separate copy of the footage not my raid (not copied from one ingest but separate ingest to separate hard drives on two different Mac systems (His is a iMac Pro and my computer a fully loaded Mac trashcan 2013. We get similar but different glitches not in the same places on the video's timeline with the DNG same clip that play fine in the media tab with no glitches and no incidents.

Project settings are the ones I have used for Resolve for years with BMPC4K raw footage

set to cinema DNG settings and Black Magic Film 4K
Also I have it hooked up to a Ultra Studio 4K extreme thunderbolt 2 and a 8 bay thunderbolt 2 RAID and this is the speed test I get with it

I also switched the master settings from Metal to open CL to Automatic and no change.
Even on the last beta of 15 I was getting 24 fps playback from the start of playing any clip or an entire timeline. I had other bugs and glitches but nothing like this. It instantly happened once I updated to the final release. I took my key resolve Keylock drive over and we downloaded a fresh installer and not the one I used to load it onto my system for a test onto his computer with my usb key plugged in and again, buggy. Again, the clips play glitch free in the media tab. It is just when you go to the edit tab and put I on the timeline. I have tried changing and playing with all the various settings in the master and project settings for raw options, color space in the raw tab and all that and no change. Now just putting a Cinema DNG clip on the timeline and hitting play with 2 short video layers with some minor work in the fusion tab, little to no CC in the color tab and one title track that plays for 4 seconds this is my playback speed on the final release
and here is a video with 2 cinema DNG clips composited in Fusion tab and one photoshop overlay and same basic one node color correcting as you can see the tree branch stutter many times as it dollies back and the original blue screen cinema DNG does plays glitch free in the media tab with no stutter at all. you might have to go to watch it on Vimeo in full frame to see it skipping
Rendering it on his with the same project and files it would double frames randomly on the branches with the different Frames 3 or 4 times so the branch dollying back would skip worse as it went back, or screw up completely different frames. We hooked my raid up and used the same ingested cinema DNG's that I was using and again with the same videos it screwed up very different frames than it did on my computer and have different glitches and freezes and skips. I figured it was just the timeline and it would not effect any sort of rendering it out. But nope. Both in various flavors of pro res, Mp4 and mp5 and DPX sequence renders and the screw ups are there. And yes I have also tried creating new project files and the same thing.
I was told by a tech that I have to post problems detail on here, the official Resolve forum, and if no one can answer it in 2 days then I can call you guys and talk to a tech on the phone.
