Copy single frame

PostSat Dec 19, 2015 10:50 am

Hi,

Shot some videos at an indoor event with a dark room and ofcourse there were a lot of peeps also taking photos with flash and the flashes are really annoying.

Conceptually getting rid of the flashes would be easy, just copy the adjacent frame over the (single) frame with the flash, but I have not found a way to easily do this. Any simple way to achieve this?

Thanks, Håkan

Not really...

You can:
A) Grab a still of the good frame, export as a still and reimport
B) just use the blade tool and cut out the flash frame
C) use other methods I'm not aware of ;)

Thanks Eric. I was hoping for some hidden method..

I used the blade method, however the process is quite slow. At least on my machine, most of the time is spent zooming in on the timeline enough to get a good working setup. This takes quite a long time and Resolve totally freezes up when I do that so cannot do anything else in the meanwhile.

Also, after I have chopped up the video into a few framesize chuncks, Resolve sudden misbehaves: unresponsive message in Windows, very slow project save.

a easier method could be:

original clip uncut below
copy of the clip above shifted by 1 frame
in inspector keyframe the opacity on and off when needed

Have you tried NewBlueFX Flash Remover Pro? Sometimes it is pretty amazing .. does not work on every occasion though ...
